Around 88% Indian ladies don’t utilize clean napkins amid their periods. Reasons are unavailability, high costs and absence of awareness. Motivated by Akshay Kumar’s Padman, Jaanvi and Lavaanya from Chandigarh are making their own sanitary napkins and giving them to the underprivileged ladies of the community. They began the battle “Stop The Spot” a month before. Ritu Nanda, a gynecologist, trained them how to create them with just cotton. It costs them just Rs 2 for each napkin and takes them only maybe a minute to make. After the napkins are made, their siblings help them in making a pouch of 10 pads. 10,000 sterile napkins have been appropriated in Jalandhar, Chandigarh and Dehradun up until now. The crusade was valued by Akshay Kumar, original Padman Arunachalam Muruganantham and Miss Multinational New Zealand 2018 Simrat Gill. These children plan to spread mindfulness among individuals in different parts of the nation also.
